Office Before 1

For the past six years I’ve had an office in my house, but the reality was that it was an office/guest/craft room. Needless to say, it was a catch all that wasn’t very inviting. As I started spending a lot of time working from home, I thought an overhaul might be in order. And when my friend and business/sales coach Tiffany Peterson asked, “Does your space inspire or expire you?” I knew it was time. My office space was definitely expiring me. So I took it from the pictures above, which were bad enough, to this:

Yikes! I promise it didn’t stay there for too long before I turned it into this:

Ahhhhhhh! Yeah, that’s me breathing a sigh of relief. It’s so much easier to get work done, be creative, and find things in this space. I actually don’t mind being in it. In fact, I like being in it. The point is that whether we realize it or not, our environment plays a huge role in how we feel. I never realized that my office space was sucking the life out of me, but you’d better believe I can tell what a downer it was now that I have everything in order.
